Teaching Awards

Teacher of the Year at AAU
Each year, Aalborg University celebrates outstanding teaching through a structured nomination and selection process. Students nominate the teachers they believe deserve recognition for their teaching efforts. Based on these nominations, each study board selects their Teacher of the Year.
From these selections, each faculty appoints a Faculty Teacher of the Year, one from each of the five main academic areas. This includes one teacher from the Social Sciences area and one from the Humanities area.
The AAU Teacher of the Year is chosen by the Strategic Council for Education from among the five faculty winners. The award is presented at the annual AAU University Party.
The winner receives the Obel Family Foundation Teaching Award of DKK 50,000, while the remaining four nominees each receive DKK 25,000, also sponsored by the Obel Family Foundation.
